GKN Board Appointment
GKN plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Angus Cockburn as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2013.
Angus Cockburn (age 49) is currently Chief Financial Officer of Aggreko plc, a role he has held since 2000. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Pringle Scotland, a division of Dawson International plc, having joined that company from PepsiCo Inc in 1997. During his time at PepsiCo Inc he held a number of roles and was latterly Regional Finance Director for Central Europe. His early career was spent at KPMG. Angus is a non-executive Director of Howden Joinery Group plc and chairs that company's audit committee.
Angus is a Chartered Accountant, has an honours degree (BCom) in Business Studies & Accounting from Edinburgh University and an MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland.

There are no other matters to be disclosed under 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
