Avanti Communications Group plc announces that Ian Taylor has resigned as a non-executive Director of the Company as a result of his appointment by the Minister for Universities and Science as a new member of the Science & Technology Facilities Council.
John Brackenbury, Chairman, said "We thank Ian for the important role he has played as a non-executive director since June 2008 and for his efforts to widen understanding of Avanti's potential during the period which included the successful launch of our first satellite, Hylas 1."
Ian Taylor commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Avanti team to whom I pay tribute for their successful achievement in providing satellite access to broadband in remote areas. I wish them well in the launch of further satellites."
The search process for the recruitment of a new independent Non Executive Director will conclude shortly.
