Spiritel PLC26 April 2005 For immediate release 26 April 2005 SPIRITEL PLC ("Spiritel" or "the Company") Appointment of COO/Finance Director Board Changes Spiritel plc (AIM: STP), the telecommunications services business, is pleased toannounce that, as part of the continued development of the Company, it hasappointed Sashi Mylvaganam as its Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director.Mr Mylvaganam, an accountant with telecoms and plc experience, joins theCompany's Board as of 3 May 2005. John Vergopoulos, an early stage investor in Spiritel and its Finance Director,will become the Company's Deputy Chairman, an executive position in which hewill focus on corporate development. Mr Mylvaganam, age 51, is a chartered accountant who was most recently the ChiefOperating Officer of United Networks Ltd, a family run business focussed ontelephone switching systems. He joined United Networks as Finance Director in1992, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 1999. Between 1988 and 1992, MrMylvaganam was the Group Finance Director and Company Secretary of Jacques Vertplc, a fashion retailer. Between 1985 and 1988, he was the Financial Director ofJean Jeanie, part of Lee Cooper plc, a casual clothing company. Nigel Robertson, Spiritel's Non-Executive Deputy Chairman, is stepping down fromthe Company's Board, allowing him to focus on other business interests. Ged Holmes, Spiritel's Commercial Development Director, will step down from hisexecutive position at the end of this month, though he will remain on theCompany's Board as a Non-Executive Director.
