9 April 2014 WINCANTON PLC ('Wincanton') APPOINTMENT OF RICHARD ADAM AS INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Wincanton is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Adam as anon-executive director with effect from 1 June 2014. Richard Adam is Group Finance Director at Carillion plc, a position he has heldsince 2007. He was previously non-executive Director and Chairman of the AuditCommittee of SSL International plc and Zattikka plc. From appointment, Richardwill join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. It is envisagedthat Richard will chair the Audit Committee in due course. It is also announced that after nearly nine years as a non-executive Director,Jonson Cox will step down from the Board with effect from 31 May 2014. Jonsonleaves with the Board's best wishes for the future and with thanks for thepersonal commitment he has shown to Wincanton during his time on the board.
