GKN Board Appointment
GKN plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Shonaid Jemmett-Page as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 June 2010.
Shonaid Jemmett-Page is currently Chief Operating Officer for CDC, the UK government's finance body which provides capital for investment in sustainable businesses in emerging markets. She joined CDC in early 2009 from Unilever where for eight years she was Senior Vice President Finance and Information, Home and Personal Care, originally in Asia and later for the group as a whole. Her early career was spent at KPMG, latterly as a partner. Shonaid is also a non-executive Director of Havelock Europa plc and chairs that company's audit committee. She is a chartered accountant and has an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
Roy Brown, Chairman of GKN plc, said: "I am delighted to welcome Shonaid to the Board. Her strong financial background as well as her experience in Asia will enable her to make a significant contribution to the Board".
There are no other matters to be disclosed under 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
