Board changes

William Hill PLC (LSE: WMH) (William Hill or the Group) announces the appointment of David Lowden as a Non-executive Director with effect from 1 April 2011.

Mr Lowden was Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Nelson Sofres PLC, a leading global market research and insight provider, from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Group Finance Director for the company and senior financial positions within international companies such as A.C. Nielsen and Federal Express. Mr Lowden is a Chartered Accountant and provides recent and relevant financial experience. He is also a Non-executive Director of Berendsen plc.

David Allvey, who has served as a Non-executive Director of William Hill since 2002, will retire from the Board shortly after the 2011 Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled for 12 May 2011. Mr Allvey will be replaced as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee by Mr Lowden and as Senior Independent Non-executive Director by David Edmonds, who has been a Non-executive Director since 2005.

In accordance with the Listing Rules, there are no additional matters that would require disclosure under LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) in relation to Mr Lowden's appointment.
