Mark Ronald was theChief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for BAE Systemsplc, and President and Chief Executive Officer of BAE Systems Inc., until 31December 2006 when he retired. He holds the Honorary Commanderof the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE), awarded in recognitionof the valuable services he has rendered to furthering closer transatlanticcooperation in the US-UK defence industries. In 2005, he was honoured by theMarine Corps Scholarship Foundation with the Semper Fidelis Award for hisefforts in support of the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and theirfamilies. Prior to joining BAE Systems, Mr. Ronald was President, Chief Operating Officerand member of the Board of Directors of AEL Industries in Lansdale, Pa.,responsible for overseeing the company's design and manufacture of complexelectronic systems and subsystems for military, aerospace and telecommunicationsapplications. He previously spent ten years with Litton Industries, AmeconDivision, College Park, Md, rising to the position of Vice President, ProgramManagement. Mr. Ronald is a graduate of Bucknell University, where he received a Bachelor ofArts and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He received his Masterof Science in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York. Hehas received the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award from both institutions. Mr. Ronald is an active member of the community participating in numerouseducational, civic and charitable organizations.
