Xchanging plc - Directorate Change
Richard Houghton has informed the Board of Xchanging plc of his intention to step down as a Director and to leave the Company during the course of the next financial year. Richard Houghton joined Xchanging at its foundation in 1999 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in September 2003.
Xchanging was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2007. The company now services customers in 42 countries and employs over 8,000 people.
"The last eleven years have been exciting and very fulfilling" Richard Houghton said. "We have taken Xchanging from a start up to a major international provider of outsourcing services. It was particularly rewarding to guide the company through its IPO. It is the right time for me to move on and to hand over to a new CFO who will work with me on the preparation of the 2010 results."
David Andrews, Xchanging's Chief Executive, paid tribute to the significant contribution that Richard Houghton has made to establishing Xchanging's success. "I have very much enjoyed working with Richard - it has been a real partnership. I am grateful for his counsel and support over the years."
Xchanging's Chairman, Nigel Rich said that the financial disciplines and management instituted by Richard Houghton had been of vital importance during the company's first eleven years of growth. "Richard has played a central role in creating Xchanging's success," he said.
The search for a suitable successor has been initiated.
