Appointment of Non-Executive Directors
The Board of Pinewood is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr. Catherine Lindsay Raines and Mary Teresa ("MT") Rainey as independent non-executive directors of the Company with immediate effect.
Dr. Catherine Raines is currently Minister and Director-General of UK Trade & Investment China ("UKTI China"), a role she has held since 2013. Based in Beijing, Dr Raines leads UKTI China across the whole of the mainland supporting UK-China trade and investments. Prior to her current role, Dr. Raines was Deputy CEO of Staffordshire County Council and has held a number of senior positions in global pharmaceutical companies, including ICI Pharmaceuticals and Zeneca, which later became part of AstraZeneca. Dr. Raines has also held non-executive roles at the Criminal Records Bureau, North Staffordshire Regeneration Partnership, HM Land Registry and The Whitehall and Industry Group. Dr. Raines is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds a PhD from the University of London in pharmaceutical engineering. She has variously lived and worked in the UK, the USA, Europe and China.
Ms Rainey is currently Chair of leading Digital Strategy Agency Th_nk Ltd, a position she has held since 2008. She is also a Non Executive Director of Channel 4 and Vice Chair of Creative Skillset (the sector skills council for the UK creative industries). In addition, Ms Rainey is the founder of Horsesmouth.co.uk, a social enterprise for online mentoring. Prior to this portfolio of roles, Ms Rainey had a long career in advertising both in the UK and the US. In 1993, she founded the advertising agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe, which she grew to being a top 20 agency before it was sold to Y&R, a subsidiary of WPP plc, and it was then built to being one of the top 5 agencies in the UK where it now remains. Previous non-executive directorships held by Ms Rainey include WH Smith plc and STV Group plc. She holds an MA(Hons) from Glasgow University.
Neither Dr. Raines, aged 52, nor Ms Rainey, aged 59, currently hold any ordinary shares in Pinewood.

No further information in connection with these appointments is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 and Rule 17 of the AIM Rules.

The Board of Pinewood is also pleased to announce that Ruth Prior, an existing independent non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed as the senior independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
