Board changes
The Board of Laird PLC today releases the following statement outlining a change in Management.
Peter Hill, Chief Executive of Laird PLC, will be stepping down from his current role with immediate effect, due to ill health. We will be recruiting a new Chief Executive but in the meantime, Nigel Keen, Chairman of Laird PLC, will be taking on the role of Executive Chairman. An Executive Committee reporting to Nigel Keen has been formed, which will assume day-to-day operational responsibilities.
The Executive Committee, alongside the management of each business unit, will continue to focus on managing the business effectively, delivering profitable growth for Shareholders.
Peter has given considerable service to Laird over a number of years and has helped transform the business into what it is today - a technology leader in diverse markets, supporting blue-chip Customers worldwide. The Board is grateful to Peter for his significant contribution to Laird.
The Board remains confident in the ability to meet the medium-term targets announced in July, including the earnings target of not less than 16 pence per share for 2011.
