Enterprise Inns plc (the 'Company') Appoints New Non-Executive Director

The board is pleased to announce the appointment of David Maloney as a non-executive director of the Company from 10th July 2008.

David is currently non-executive chairman of Hoseasons Holidays Limited and a non-executive director of Cineworld Group Plc, Ludorum Plc, Micro Focus International Plc and Carillion Plc. He was previously a non-executive director of Virgin Mobile Holdings (UK) plc and Chief Financial Officer of Meridien Services Company plc (the holding company for the global hotel group Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts), Thomson Travel Group and Preussag Airlines and Group Finance Director of Avis Europe plc.

David is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a degree in economics from Heriot-Watt UniversityEdinburgh. David is also Chairman of the board of trustees of the Make A Wish Foundation.

Other than as set out below there are no matters which need to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to (6). 

Disclosure pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (3):

David Maloney joined the Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts Group (the 'group') in January 2002. Prior to his appointment the group had undertook a number of financing transactions as a result of it being acquired in July 2001 by private investors. He was appointed a director of Waldorf Hotel Company Limited, Grosvenor House (Park Lane) Limited, Meridien Property Company I Limited and Meridien Property Company II Limited. He remained a director of these companies until 19 December 2003. On 30 July 2003 each of these companies was placed into administrative receivership.
