Fraser McGee to step down as Chief Executive on 28th February 2013
Triple Plate Junction announces today that Fraser McGee, Chief Executive, will be leaving the group on 28th February 2013. His executive responsibilities will be taken over by Tony Shearer, Chris Goss and Patrick Gorman.
Tony Shearer, Chairman, said "We are very grateful for Fraser's work over the last couple of years. The announcement on 11 December of the disposal of our operation in Vietnam means that we are focused entirely on our minority interests in our joint ventures in Papua New Guinea with Newmont, Newcrest, Barrick, and Gold Anomaly. The Group needs a new geological focus and lower fixed cost base to manage these activities."
Fraser McGee said "In just over two years with the Company I have enjoyed working with both the Board and the Advisory Board through a variety of interesting challenges in difficult markets for junior explorers. Despite disappointing exploration results from our various projects the Company has funds to continue its business and begin a new chapter. I thank my colleagues at TPJ for their hard and valued work and I wish them and our shareholders every success in the future."
