CHANGE TO BA BOARD
Having completed nine years service as a non-executive director, Martin Read has advised the Board of British Airways of his decision to retire as a Director when his current three-year term of office comes to an end at the annual general meeting on 14 July 2009.
Martin joined the Board of British Airways in May 2000. He has been Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since July 2000 and is a member of the Nominations Committee.
Paying tribute, the Chairman thanked him for his dedicated service and for his huge contribution to British Airways and wished him well for the future.
This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11R.
