Board Appointment
Countryside Properties PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Hurt as Senior Independent Director of the Company with effect from 1 January 2018. Douglas will serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee as well as a member of both the Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
Douglas is the Senior Independent Director of both Tate & Lyle Plc and Vesuvius Plc as well as a Non-Executive Director of BSI Group.
He is a Chartered Accountant and has significant financial experience, having served as Finance Director of IMI plc, the global engineering group, from 2006 to 2015. Prior to this, Douglas held a number of senior finance and general management positions at GlaxoSmithKline plc, which he joined in 1983, previously having worked at Price Waterhouse.
Commenting, Company Chairman David Howell said, "We are delighted that Douglas Hurt has agreed to join the Board. His experience as a business leader and deep financial knowledge will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the future development of Countryside".
There are no other matters which require disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13R of the FCA's Listing Rules.
