AstraZeneca PLC12 April 2007 Directorate Change Joe Jimenez has resigned from the Board of AstraZeneca PLC as a Non-ExecutiveDirector with immediate effect as he has today agreed to take up a full-timeexecutive appointment with Novartis, the Swiss-based healthcare group. The Boardwishes him well in his new role and would like to thank him for the significantcontribution that he has made to the Company since joining the Board in July2003. The resolution to re-elect Joe Jimenez contained in the Notice of Annual GeneralMeeting (AGM) which was recently sent to shareholders will be withdrawn, andaccordingly this resolution will not be put to shareholders at the AGM on 26April 2007.
