12 January 2006 ROLLS-ROYCE GROUP PLC Rolls-Royce announced today that Colin Green, President Defence-Aerospace, willbe retiring from the Company and from the Rolls-Royce Board with effect from 4April 2006. He has been an executive director on the Board since April 1996.Commenting on Colin Green's retirement, Sir John Rose, Chief Executive, said:"We are very grateful to Colin for the huge contribution he has made to theCompany since he joined us in 1968. He has played an outstanding role in thesuccessful development of the Company in the UK, the US and Europe, mostrecently as President of our Defence Aerospace business and as a Boarddirector."Colin Green will be succeeded in his role as President Defence-Aerospace byAxel Arendt, currently Chairman of Rolls-Royce Deutschland. Axel Arendt joinedRolls-Royce in 2002, having previously been the Chief Financial Officer forEADS.
