Board Changes
As announced on 20 July 2009 Orna Ni-Chionna has today joined the Board of HMV Group plc (HMV) as a Non-Executive Director. Orna will take on the role of Chair of the Remuneration Committee with immediate effect from Lesley Knox. Lesley will step down from the Board on 1 February 2010 after nearly eight years of outstanding contribution as a Non-Executive Director of HMV.
About Orna Ni-Chionna
Orna is a former Partner at McKinsey & Company, who specialised in serving retail and consumer clients. She is currently the Senior Independent Director of Northern Foods plc, where she has been a Non Executive Director since 2002; and is Chairman of Eden McCallum's Advisory Board. She was, until recently, the Senior Independent Director of Bupa and was a Non Executive Director of the Bank of Ireland UK Holdings plc and Bristol & West plc. She has also served as a member of the UK Retail and Consumer Advisory Board of Apax Partners. She is Chair of Trustees of the Soil Association.
