ABG is pleased to announce the appointments of Peter Tomsett and Graham Clow asIndependent Non-Executive Directors with immediate effect.

Mr Tomsett, who will act as Senior Independent Director of ABG, has a widerange of technical, operational and senior management experience in the miningindustry. He spent 20 years with Placer Dome Inc. in a number of senior roles,culminating in serving as President and Chief Executive Officer until itsacquisition in 2006. He has been a Director of the Minerals Council ofAustralia, the World Gold Council and the International Council for Mining &Metals.

Mr Tomsett has considerable Board level experience in the resources sector. Heserved as Non-Executive Chairman of Equinox Minerals until its acquisition in2011, he is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Silver Standard Resources Incand he is also a Non-Executive Director of North American Energy Partners Incand Talisman Energy Inc.

Graham Clow is currently Chairman and Principal Mining Engineer of RPA Inc. Heis a senior mining executive with 40 years' experience in all aspects ofacquisitions, exploration, feasibility, finance, development, construction,operations, and closure. Prior to joining RPA, he spent more than 20 years insenior executive and operating positions with publicly listed mining companiesand is currently Non-Executive Director of Dominion Diamond Corporation. MrClow is a former Chairman of the Metal Mining Division of the CanadianInstitute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum ("CIM"), and was a Member of theCommittee on Ore Reserve Definitions that established the requirements forCanadian Regulatory Standard NI43-101 for mining companies. He is also a Fellowof CIM and has been awarded the Metal Mining Award for contributions to theindustry.

Following these appointments, the ABG Board comprises ten members, includingsix Independent Non-Executive Directors, one Executive Director and threenominees from Barrick Gold Corporation.
