The Board of Aberdeen New Thai Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") announces the resignation of Sarah McCarthy as a Director of the Company on 29 May 2019 for personal reasons.

The Board would like to thank Sarah for her contribution to the Company over the period of her tenure.

Accordingly, the Board intends to withdraw Resolution 4, the election of Sarah McCarthy as a Director, currently tabled for the Company's Annual General Meeting on 25 June 2019. The withdrawal of Resolution 4 will not affect the validity of the proxy form attached to the Notice of Annual General Meeting announced on 26 April 2019 nor any proxy votes already submitted.
