HMV Group plc today announces that Group Finance Director Neil Bright will be leaving the Company in December 2010 to become Group Finance Director at Holidaybreak plc, where he has been a non-executive director since November 2008. The search for a successor to Neil is underway, and a further announcement will be made in due course.
Simon Fox, Chief Executive, said:
"I would like to thank Neil for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the Company over the last 14 years, all of which have been as the Group's Finance Director. Neil has played a key role in the evolution of the Group, and I know that my colleagues will join me in wishing him all the very best for the future."
Neil Bright commented:
"My 14 years with HMV have been immensely enjoyable. The recently completed strategy process and bank refinancing means that the Group is on a strong financial footing and this is therefore an appropriate time for me to take the next step in my career. I wish Simon and everyone else at the Group all the best for the future."
