Davis Service Group PLC06 January 2005 6 January 2005 The Davis Service Group Plc ("Davis" or "the Company") Appointment of Non-executive Director The Board of Davis is pleased to announce that Mr Per Utnegaard has beenappointed a Non-executive Director of Davis and a member of the Audit andRemuneration Committees. Mr Utnegaard (45), an MBA, is currently Wholesale Director of Alliance Unichemplc. Born in Norway, Per was educated in the United States of America. He has workedin Norway, Sweden, France, Holland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Hespeaks five languages. His early career was with Sharp Electronics in Norway, followed by two years inconsultancy with A T Kearney and then eight years with TNT where he wasresponsible for business change and integration in Europe. He subsequentlyworked with Deutsche Post and Swiss Federal Railways before joining AllianceUnichem in 2003. Commenting on today's announcement, Neil Benson, Chairman of Davis, said: "I am delighted to welcome Per as a non-executive member of the Board. He hasextensive knowledge of high volume distribution-led businesses and of thediverse working practices found across Europe. My colleagues and I are sure hewill be of great value to the Company."
