Management Board Appointment at
British American Tobacco
Giovanni Giordano has been appointed as Group Human Resources Director at British American Tobacco with effect from 1 June 2011. Giovanni is an international human resources executive with wide experience at Procter & Gamble and Ferrero. He has American and Italian nationality.
Commenting on the appointment, Nicandro Durante, Chief Executive of British American Tobacco, said: "I am delighted to welcome Giovanni as a member of the Management Board. His extensive consumer goods and international experience makes him ideal for the role and I'm confident that he will fit into our management style and culture very well. I would also like to thank John Daly, Chief Operating Officer, very much for everything he has done to cover the HR role on a temporary basis since the beginning of March."
