St. James's Place plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Penny James as an Independent Non-executive Director with effect from 1 July 2025. Upon appointment, Penny will be a member of the Group Risk Committee and Group Audit Committee.

Penny has extensive financial services experience across investment and insurance. She has served as chief financial officer at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and Omega Insurance Holdings Ltd, chief risk officer at Prudential plc and chief executive officer at Direct Line Insurance Group plc. Penny has also held positions as a non-executive director of Admiral Group plc and served as SID and a member of the risk and nomination & governance committees of Hargreaves Lansdown plc until 24 March 2025.

Since 2024, Penny has been a non-executive director at Mitie Group plc, Vitality Health Ltd and QBE Insurance Group Ltd. She has been the co-chair of the FTSE Women Leaders Review since 2022.

There is no other information regarding Penny James' appointment to be disclosed under paragraph 6.4.8R of the UK Listing Rules.
