Beale PLC12 October 2007 12 October 2007 Board Change The board of Beale PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Brown asthe group's next Chief Executive. He will replace Allan Allkins, who will retirein April next year. Tony Brown, 50, has been retail director of British Home Stores since 2001, andis responsible for store operations throughout the UK and Ireland. He waspreviously operations director of Somerfield Stores and a regional managingdirector of Asda Stores. Mike Killingley, chairman, said: "I am delighted that Tony Brown has decided to join Beales; he will bring awealth of valuable retail and operational experience to the business. On behalfof the board, I also thank Allan Allkins for his contribution to the group overthe past five and a half years, and wish him well in his forthcoming retirement." Tony Brown will join the board of Beale plc and become Chief Executive Officerwith effect from 1 April 2008. There are no details to be disclosed under Stock Exchange Listing Rule 9.6.13.
