Appoints new non-executive Director
The Board of Evolution Group Plc ("Evolution") is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Chambers as a non-executive director with effect from 3 November 2009.
Age 48, Chambers has a wealth of financial services experience having been Chief Executive of Man Investments and an executive director of Man Group plc until 31 August 2005, Co-Head of European Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse First Boston and previous to this Director of Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Broking at BZW. He is currently Chairman of Jelmoli Holding A-G and a director of Swiss Prime Site A-G a real estate investment company listed on the SIX Swiss Stock Exchange
Commenting on Chambers' appointment Evolution's Chairman Martin Gray, said "I am delighted that Chris has agreed to join the Board. His wealth of experience in Capital Markets and Investment Banking will complement the existing skills on the Board. This appointment furthers our stated aim of strengthening of the Board"
Chambers said: "Evolution are at an important juncture in their history. Having recently entered the FTSE 250 their investment banking and private client franchises continue to make significant progress. I look forward to making a significant contribution to the Board as Evolution takes further steps to create additional shareholder value and to embed its governance practices"
