Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia" or the "Company") announces that John May is to retire from the board on 30 September 2011. John has been with Caledonia since 2003.

Will Wyatt, Chief Executive, commented:

"John has been a prominent member of Caledonia's senior management team for over 8 years and on behalf of the board I would like to record our thanks for his significant contribution to the development and success of our business and also in the many companies where he has overseen our investment. We wish him well for the future."

John May added:

"I have greatly enjoyed my time working at Caledonia and helping to develop the business as it continues to build value for shareholders. I am looking forward to new opportunities and challenges and wish the Company continued success."
