Biffa Plc28 November 2007 Directorate Change Martin Bettington to stand down on 31 March 2008 Biffa Plc announces that Martin Bettington will be stepping down as ChiefExecutive Officer and leaving the Board at the end of March 2008. The Company has started the process of appointing a successor as Chief ExecutiveOfficer in order to achieve an orderly handover. Martin Bettington said: "After nearly 20 years with Biffa, as Managing Director from 1991 to demergerlast year and thereafter as CEO, I have agreed with the Board to stand down.Following the completion of the demerger last year and with Biffawell-positioned to capitalise on the exciting developments in the UK wastemanagement industry, I believe that this is a good time to move on. I willcontinue to work closely with the Board and all of my colleagues to ensure asmooth transition over the coming months."
