Louisa Burdett to succeed Doug Webb as Chief Financial Officer of Meggitt

Meggitt PLC (the "Company") announces that Louisa Burdett will join the Company as Chief Financial Officer-designate on 22 October 2018; she will succeed Doug Webb as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and join the Board as an Executive Director on 1 January 2019.

Doug will be retiring as CFO and Executive Director on 31 December 2018. Louisa will work with Doug until the end of 2018 to ensure an effective transition.

Louisa, a qualified accountant, was Group Finance Director of Victrex plc from January 2014 until April 2018. Prior to that, she was Chief Financial Officer at Optos plc and the Financial Times Group and held senior finance positions at Brambles Ltd, GE Healthcare and GlaxoSmithKline plc. Louisa is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Electrocomponents plc, a FTSE 250 global multi-channel distributor of industrial and electronics products.
