Minco PLC14 December 2005 MINCO Plc ("Minco" or "THE COMPANY") DIRECTORATE CHANGE December 14th 2005 Minco Plc announces today that Mr. Roger W. Turner has been appointed CEO inaddition to his role as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Danesh K. Varma, ChiefFinancial Officer, has been appointed a Director of the Company and will alsoassume the role of Company Secretary. In a further move to strengthen management of the Mexican and Irish operationsof the Company, Mr. Terence N. McKillen, has been appointed Director ofExploration & Business Development. Mr. McKillen is a registered ProfessionalGeoscientist in the Provinces of Ontario and Newfoundland & Labrador. He is agraduate of the University of Dublin (Geology) and holds a Masters degree inMining Geology & Mineral Exploration from the University of Leicester. Mr.McKillen has been responsible for the development of Minco's portfolio of Irishprojects including the Pallas Green joint venture with Falconbridge of Torontosince inception. More recently, Mr. McKillen assumed responsibility for Minco'sexploration work in Mexico, including the Minera Sisa joint venture in Durango. Mr McKillen has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry in North andSouth America, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia, during which time he hasexamined and managed numerous exploration and development projects. Mr.McKillen is currently President, CEO and Director of Toronto-based ConquestResources Limited. As Mr McKillen and Mr. John Kearney, Directors and founding shareholders ofMinco, are based in Toronto, as are Falconbridge (referred to above) and MiconInternational Limited, which is working on the Laguna Project, Minco will nowhave a representative office in Toronto. As part of the change, Mr. Matthew Dorman has stepped down as CEO and Director.. Mr. Richard Thornton has accepted the position as a Consultant to the Companyand is stepping down as Secretary and Director. Following the full exercise of outstanding warrants for a total of £2.6 millionon December 5, the Company is well placed to maintain its position in PallasGreen, develop Laguna and Sisa as well as look for other projects.
