Altona Resources PLC30 November 2006 30th November 2006 ALTONA RESOURCES PLC ("Altona" or "the Company") Board Appointment Altona Resources plc (AIM: ANR) is pleased to announce the appointment of MrPhillip Sutherland as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr Sutherland is a respected resources industry advocate in South Australia, whois widely known in government, industry and media circles. He is currently theChief Executive Officer of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy ("SACOME"), the major resources industry body in South Australia. With extensive executive management experience with local, state and federalgovernment agencies, Mr Sutherland has significant expertise in resourcesindustry related government policy and public affairs. He has a comprehensiveunderstanding of the regulatory procedures and issues in developing resourceprojects in South Australia. Mr Sutherland, aged 55, is a graduate in business management from the SouthAustralian Institute of Technology and the University of South Australia. Mr.Sutherland is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Member ofboth the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian HumanResources Institute. Mr Sutherland is a recipient of the National ServiceMedal.
