Chairman appointment
Mr Richard Burrows is stepping down as Chairman of the Tex Holdings plc Board with effect from 25th June 2018 and he will be succeeded by Mr Chris Gray. Mr Burrows has served as Chairman of the Board for 31 years. Mr Burrows will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Mr Gray has spent more than 45 years in the International Transportation, Ports and Shipping industry.
Having initially set up a transport company specialising in road transportation between the UK and Europe, he progressed to directorships within Contship UK Ltd and Contship Containerlines Limited, eventually leaving in early 1998 to join Hutchison Ports UK Ltd where he was appointed Chief Executive with responsibility for the ports of Felixstowe, Thamesport and Harwich. In early 2002 Chris was appointed as Chief Executive for Hutchison Ports Bahamas based in Freeport, Grand Bahama where he served until 2009. In 2010 he was appointed Executive Chairman of the Noatum Ports Group of companies, stepping down from this position on 31st December 2017. Mr Gray is a Non-Executive Director of Red Funnel Limited and Red Funnel Holdings Limited.
Executive Director appointment
The Tex Holdings plc Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr David Redhead as Executive Director with immediate effect.
Mr Redhead has served on the Tex Holdings plc Board as a Non-Executive for five years, having previously been Managing Director of BSP International Foundations Limited.
