Parity Group PLC13 June 2007 13 June 2007 Parity Group PLC Appointment of Lord Freeman as Non-Executive Chairman Parity Group PLC, the UK IT services group, is pleased to announce theappointment of Lord Roger Freeman as Non-Executive Chairman, with effect from 1July 2007. Lord Freeman, 65, has a wealth of experience both at Board level and within thegovernment and parliament. He was MP for Kettering between 1983-1997, and becamea life peer in 1997. He has held Parliamentary Secretary roles as well as beingMinister of State for both Public Transport and Defence Procurement. He servedin the Cabinet as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and as Public ServiceMinister. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Lord Freeman was a Partner and ManagingDirector at Lehman Brothers in New York, specialising in M&A, from 1969-1986. Heholds a number of Chairmanships, including currently acting as Chairman ofThales Holdings UK plc and of the Cambridge University Technology TransferOffice. As a result of the appointment, John Hughes will step down from his current roleas Executive Chairman to become Deputy Chairman, replacing Philip Swinstead whowill remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. He is also a Consultant(formerly Partner) at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is Chairman of their UKAdvisory Panel.
