Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on allergy, food intolerance and infectious disease, announces that David Evans, Chairman of the Company, has resigned from the Board and stepped down with immediate effect.
Bill Rhodes has agreed to act as interim Chairman. Under David's leadership, the Company had already been in the process of identifying and recruiting an additional Non-Executive Director to further strengthen the Board. During that process, David decided that after 18 years' service, the opportunity to also bring fresh perspective from the position of Chairman would enable the Board to focus on the reshaped business and new opportunities that lie ahead.
Colin King, Chief Executive of Omega Diagnostics, commented: "The Board would like to thank David for his invaluable contribution during his 18 years of service and wish him all the best for the future."
