New finance director appointed
The Board of WS Atkins plc (Atkins) announces the appointment of Heath Drewett as a director with effect from 15 June 2009. He will take over from Robert MacLeod as group finance director on 19 June 2009.
Ed Wallis, chairman, Atkins, said: "I am delighted to welcome Heath to the Board. He is a very experienced finance professional with significant experience across a number of finance disciplines in a world leading organisation. I look forward to working with him as he joins the engineering design sector to head Atkins' finance function."
A graduate in mathematics from Peterhouse, Cambridge, Mr Drewett (43) started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a chartered accountant. He has held a variety of senior finance and corporate development roles at British Airways plc and The Morgan Crucible Company plc. He has spent the past seven years in BA's finance team, most recently holding the position of head of business performance.
There are no other disclosures required in respect of Mr Drewett pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
