Scapa Group PLC30 August 2007 30 August 2007 SCAPA GROUP PLC APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN Scapa Group plc is pleased to announce today the appointment of James Wallace asa Non-Executive Director of the Company. James will join the Board as Chairmandesignate and take over as Chairman upon the retirement of Dr Keith Hopkins on30 September 2007. James brings extensive city and international experience to Scapa. Anaccountant by qualification, he spent the majority of his very successfulexecutive career at Pifco Holdings PLC until 2001. He has had a broad range ofnon-executive director experience and is currently Chairman of BodycoteInternational plc, Non-Executive Director of Holidaybreak plc, NCC Group plc andSigma Capital Group plc, and a Trustee of the Lowry Centre Trust. Otherdirectorships held in the last five years are The Sanctuary Group plc, The LowryCentre Development Company Ltd and The Lowry Centre Ltd.
