Land Securities Group Plc19 October 2006 19 October 2006 Land Securities Group PLC ("Land Securities"/"the Group") Land Securities Directorate Change Land Securities announces that, as a result of an internal restructuring, therole of Group Chief Operating Officer is no longer required. Mark Collins willtherefore be stepping down from the Board and leaving the Group. He has decidedto depart at the end of November 2006 in order to ensure a smooth transition tothe new reporting lines within the Group. Commenting on the announcement Peter Birch, Chairman, said "We would like to thank Mark for his tremendous contribution to the Group overthe past four and a half years. This period has seen great organisationalchange for the company in which Mark's management skills have proved invaluable.He has also played a key role in the increased level of transactionalactivity, most notably the property swap with Slough Estates and the corporateacquisition of Tops Estates. At the same time he has worked closely alongsidehis fellow Executive Directors in implementing a reorganisation of the businessinto sector focused business units in order to deliver greater customer focus.It has been the success of this reorganisation which has led to his departure. "Mark is respected as much across the Group as in the wider property world, andwe wish him well in the future."
