MTR Corporation Ltd19 March 2008 MTR CORPORATION LIMITED (the "Company") (Incorporated in Hong Kong with limited liability) (Stock Code: 66) CHANGE OF DIRECTORS The Company announces that Mr. David Gordon Eldon has tendered his resignationas an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from theconclusion of the 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Company, and that Mr. LoChung-hing will retire as an independent non-executive Director of the Companyby rotation at the 2008 Annual General Meeting pursuant to Articles 87 and 88 ofthe Articles of Association of the Company, and will not offer himself forre-election. The Board would like to thank Mr. Eldon and Mr. Lo for their significantcontributions and long service to the Company. Mr. Eldon has confirmed that his resignation is due to his other businesscommitments outside of Hong Kong which might not allow him to spend sufficienttime on the business of the Company. Mr. Lo has decided not to offer himselffor re-election due to personal commitment. Neither Mr. Eldon nor Mr. Lo isaware of any disagreement with the Board and there is no matter that needs to bebrought to the attention of the Company's shareholders.
