Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Wilson as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 9 November 2011.

Julia is the Group Finance Director of 3i Group plc, a position she has held since 2008 and prior to that was Deputy Finance Director at 3i Group plc and Group Director of Corporate Finance at Cable & Wireless plc. Julia will join the Audit and Nominations Committees.
