RM appoints new Chief Financial Officer

RM announces the appointment of Iain McIntosh as Chief Financial Officer, in succession to Mike Greig who will retire and leave the Group's Board on 31 March 2010. 

Iain will join RM on 30 November 2009. He will take over as Chief Financial Officer and be appointed to the Board on 1 April 2010, which will allow an orderly handover period.

Iain McIntosh (46) most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Axon, the FTSE 250 business transformation consultancy, from 2006 to 2009. He oversaw a strong period of business growth there, culminating in Axon being acquired by HCL Technologies. A Chartered Accountant, he has previously worked in corporate finance in the UK and United States, spent four years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co, and served as CFO of a number of listed and unlisted services and outsourcing groups. 

Mike Greig (53) was appointed to RM's Board as Finance Director in 1989. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer at the time of the Group's listing in 1994. He is retiring to dedicate himself to a number of charitable and other projects in which he is already closely involved.

Iain McIntosh qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and is a Fellow of the ICAEW. Following qualification, he spent four years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co, and then held a number of senior finance positions in listed and unlisted companies including CFO of Liberata plc from 2001-2003 and Alexander Mann Group from 2004-2006. He has an MA in PPE from New College Oxford.
