Sophos Group plc (Sophos, or the Company) is pleased to announce that Vin Murria is to be appointed as a non-executive director of the Company, effective from 3 January 2017. Vin will also become a member of the Company's Nominations and Remuneration committees.
Vin has a strong background in building technology companies in the UK and she has over 25 years' experience of working with private and publically listed technology companies principally in the software sector. She is a non-executive director at Softcat plc and Zoopla Property Group plc, and is a partner at Elderstreet Investments. Until 2015, when it was sold to Vista Equity Partners, Vin spent seven years as the founder and chief executive officer at Advanced Computer Software plc. Prior to that she spent five years as chief executive officer of Computer Software Group plc until it was acquired by HG Capital and then Hellman & Friedman in 2007. In the previous five years, Vin was a director of Chime Communications plc, Greenko Group plc and Concateno plc. Vin was named Quoted Company Entrepreneur of the year in 2014 and Woman of The Year in the 2012 Cisco Everywoman Technology Awards.
