The Board of Kier Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Hugh Raven as Company Secretary and General Counsel with effect from 19 April 2010. Mr Raven takes over the role from Deborah Hamilton, who has been acting as Company Secretary since Matthew Barton left in November 2009.

Mr Raven joins Kier Group plc from law firm Eversheds, where he was a partner.

For future reporting purposes, Mr Raven will be considered to be a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMR). As at the date of this announcement, Mr Raven has no beneficial interest in the share capital of the company.
