Mears Group PLC10 January 2008 Mears Group PLC ("Mears" or "the Company") Board Appointments Following the announcement made by the Company on 12 December 2007 of itsintention to appoint Peter Dicks to the Board as non-executive deputy chairmanand David Hosein as a non-executive director the Company today confirms theirappointment with immediate effect. Peter Dicks (65), has been active in the venture capital and investments fieldsfor a number of years. He is currently a director of several quoted and unquotedcompanies including Private Equity Investor PLC of which he is Chairman, PolarCapital Technology Trust PLC, Graphite Enterprise Trust PLC and StandardMicrosystems Inc., a US NASDAQ quoted company. David Hosein (43) is a partner in OC&C Strategy Consultants where he is head oftheir Services & Technology Practice.
