Appointment of chairman
The directors of Tawa plc ('Tawa" or the "Company") announce that a board meeting of the Company was held on Friday, 8 October 2010 following the death of its former chairman, Robin Jackson. The board committed to restoring by the time of the Company's next AGM the balance of skills, knowledge and experience on the Board. In the interim, Colin Bird, currently an executive director of the Company, has been appointed as chairman of the Company.
Colin left PwC in 2001 to form the Tawa Group and has extensive financial services experience with particular emphasis on the insurance and banking sector.
