DIRECTORATE CHANGE

Global Energy Development PLC, the Latin America focused petroleum exploration, development and production company (AIM: GED) with operations in Colombia, today announces the resignation of Mr. Stephen C. Voss from the Company's Board of Directors with immediate effect. Mr. Voss will continue to serve as Managing Director of the executive management team.

The Board would like to thank Mr. Voss for his significant contribution over the past years as a Board Director of the Company.
