Findel appoints Clare Askem as a non-executive director

Francois Coumau to take the Chair of the Remuneration Committee later in the year

Findel, the online value retail and education business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Askem as an independent non-executive Director. She will join the Board on 21st March 2019.

Clare is a highly experienced retail executive having held numerous senior management positions at PC World, Dixons Retail plc and Home Retail Group/Sainsbury's and has a deep understanding of the customer agenda and cultural transformation for the digital marketplace. She is currently Managing Director of Habitat within the Sainsbury's group of companies.

Findel also announces that Francois Coumau will take over the chair of the Remuneration Committee upon the previously announced retirement of Bill Grimsey from the Board at the conclusion of Findel's 2019 annual general meeting.

BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS

Clare Askem started her career with BET plc, a FTSE 100 services conglomerate with roles across M&A, and leading extensive customer and marketing initiatives. In 1996 she joined Dixons Retail plc as Corporate Development Manager, quickly gaining promotion to Commercial Director at PC World and then moving to Group Advertising Director and then Buying & Operations Director, Entertainment. Following a career break, Clare joined Home Retail Group plc in 2006, first as Head of Strategic Development and then as Director of Strategic Development, before her appointment as Managing Director of Habitat in 2011 following its acquisition by Home Retail Group.

The Company confirms that there is no further information about Clare Askem requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
