Directorship and Management Announcement

ProPhotonix Limited (London Stock Exchange - AIM: PPIX and PPIR, OTC: STKR), a designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems, laser diode modules and a laser diode distributor with operations in Ireland and the U.K., today 26 June 2013, announces Director and management changes. Mr. Raymond Oglethorpe, Lead non-executive Director, is elected by the Board to the position of Chairman. In addition, Mr. Mark Weidman, President Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc., is nominated to the Board of Directors to fill the non-executive Director vacancy of Mr. Dietmar Klenner. Mr. Philip Feeley, Corporate Controller, has been appointed acting Chief Financial Officer.

Tim Losik, President and Chief Executive Officer stated "the ProPhotonix Board continues to enhance Corporate Governance and good corporate practice. Ray has served as the lead non-executive Director for many years and this transition is a natural shift for the Company. Ray and I have worked together for more than five years and I look forward to working with him and the entire Board as the Company evolves.

He brings years of management and development skills to the Board, including international expertise and complex joint venture and partnership transactions. Mr. Weidman has served in numerous executive leadership roles at Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. for over twenty years.  "Finally, Mr. Philip Feeley has taken the role of acting Chief Financial Officer of the company. Mr. Feeley has been the Corporate Controller since joining the company on 31 October 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Feeley was controller for GE, General Eastern Instruments from 1994 - 2004," concluded Mr. Losik.
