As referred to in the Chairman's Statement of JPMorgan European Investment Trust plc's (the "Company") RNS announcement of Half Year Results released today, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen McKellar as an independent Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect. The appointment was made after a thorough selection process undertaken with the assistance of a third party independent search consultancy.

Karen McKellar Karen has 28 years of investment management experience in UK equities across a range of different portfolio mandates and is currently a Non-executive Director of Merchants Trust plc.

Karen McKellar does not currently hold any shares in the Company. No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules for Karen McKellar.

Commenting on the appointment of Karen McKellar, Josephine Dixon, the Company's Chairman, said:

"Karen is a highly experienced and well regarded investment management professional with broad experience in equity markets. She will make an excellent addition to the Board at a time when the Company is well positioned to continue its recovery in volatile markets."

As previously stated, in line with the Company's Board Succession plan, Stephen Goldman will be standing down as a Director on or before the end of the Company's current financial year.
