Appointment of Non-Executive Director
The Board of Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC ("Morrisons") today announces the appointment of Irwin Lee as a non-executive Director. Irwin will take up his new position on 1 September 2015.
Irwin is currently Vice President and Managing Director, Procter & Gamble Northern Europe with responsibility for the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. He will retire in August after 30 years with the Company.
Andrew Higginson, Chairman of Morrisons, said: "I am delighted that Irwin will be joining Morrisons. Irwin will bring his huge experience in the consumer goods industry, a deep understanding of the UK grocery market and an excellent track record of leadership at one of our largest suppliers. In relation to the appointment, it is confirmed that there are no further details to be disclosed under paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
