Management Consulting Group PLC (the "Company" or "MCG")
Directorate Change
Following the successful completion of the sale of the remaining Kurt Salmon business and the payment yesterday of £75 million to shareholders as a Return of Capital, Management Consulting Group PLC today announces changes to the Board of Directors, effective 31 December 2016, reflecting the reduced scale of the Group's continuing operations.
Alan Barber, Chairman, is retiring and will step down from the Board and Nick Stagg, the current Chief Executive, will succeed Alan, as Chairman and Chief Executive.
Nigel Halkes, Non-Executive Director, is also stepping down from the Board.
Following these changes the Board will comprise:
· Nick Stagg, Chairman and Chief Executive
· Julian Waldron, Independent Non-Executive Director
· Marco Capello, Non-Executive Director
· Emilio Di Spiezio Sardo, Non-Executive Director
Nick Stagg, Chief Executive of MCG, said:
"The Board changes announced today are consistent with the reduced scale of the Group's operations, and follow the successful completion of the business disposals during 2016. I would like to wish Alan well in his retirement after his long period of service with MCG. He has guided the Group through a period of significant change, culminating in the disposal of the Kurt Salmon business and the delivery of a very significant return of value to shareholders. Nigel has made a very valuable contribution to the Board during this busy year of corporate activity, which has allowed us to return 14.673 pence per share to shareholders. Looking forward, the Board will focus on the recovery of the retained Proudfoot business."
