Aga Foodservice Group plc ("Aga") appoints new non-executive Chairman

John Coleman has been appointed to the Board of Aga Foodservice Group with immediate effect and will assume the Chairmanship when Victor Cocker retires after the Annual General Meeting in May this year.

John Coleman brings a wealth of experience to the company having spent ten years as Chief Executive of House of Fraser plc leading it through to successful acquisition by Baugur in 2006. Prior to that, John spent ten years with Burton Group plc during its dynamic period of expansion in the 1980s. He is currently a non-executive director of Travis Perkins plc.

Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive, William McGrath said:

"We are delighted to welcome someone of John's calibre to the Board. His long corporate career, strong reputation in the City, experience with premium brands and knowledge of the retail sector will be invaluable in achieving the Group's performance targets."

Commenting on his new role, John Coleman said:

"I have a great affinity to the Aga brand and am excited about the other brands within the portfolio such as Rangemaster, Fired Earth, Waterford Stanley, La Cornue and Divertimenti. There is real opportunity to grow all parts of the business both in the UK and internationally to deliver long-term returns for shareholders. I look forward to working with the team in the newly focused consumer operation."

There is no further information to be disclosed in respect of John Coleman under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
